White Sands

We had a great weekend at White Sands National Monument in NM. We stayed Friday and Saturday nights at the family lodging on Holloman AFB and spent all of Saturday at White Sands. We did a couple trips to the park on Saturday - one durng mid-morning and through a picnic lunch, and then returned in the early evening after dinner and naps. White Sands is 225 square miles of nearly nothing but pure white sand. It is an absolutely beautiful place to see!

Zoe's First Day of Pre-school

Zoe was thrilled to death to go to her first day of pre-school! She picked out her very own Dora backpack and lunchbox. When I mentioned to her at bedtime tonight that we were going to pre-school again tomorrow, she jumped up and down and started yelling "Yay!!!" She goes twice a week for 4-1/2 hours.

Pete and the Creegers

We had the good fortune of having a couple old friends in town over the last week. Scott Creeger was in town for business, so he, April, and the kids came over for dinner Friday night. The kids all took to playing like they were best of friends. It was great to catch up!

On Monday, Frank's best friend Pete Horine came into town TDY. He stayed with us on Mon and Tues nights. We all had a very good visit. Zoe is very fond of her godfather Pete and wanted to sit next to him any moment she could - in the car, at the restaurant, on the couch, etc. It was a nice time.

Olathe, KS Trip

The girls and I went to Grammy and Pop Pop's in Olathe to visit while my sister and her kiddos were in town. We were there just over a week and never sat still almost the entire time! We had so much fun eating out, getting to Lawrence and the KU campus, visiting with friends and family, the KC Zoo, Jenna's 2nd birthday party, the Deanna Rose Farmstead, Legends and the T-Rex cafe... Zoe and Jenna ran around with smiles all week!
