Trick-or-Treat

We trick-or-treated at Kirtland AFB. It is always fun to trick-or-treat on base because there are so many young families and decorated houses. It was a rather cold and windy night, but thanks to warm and fluffy Halloween custumes, Zoe and Jenna were able to gather a pumpkin full of candy each before we called it a night.

Zoo Boo With Our Little Chicken and Ladybug

We went to the Zoo Boo on Saturday with our friends the Kurtzes. We went early to beat the crowds, which was a lifesaver! By the time we left, the line to get in was over an hour long! The girls had fun looking at their favorite animals (the meerkat for Jenna!), having a picnic on the grass alonside a middleschool rockband and zoo staff dressed as animals, and getting a bunch of trick-or-treat candy!

Camping in Jemez Springs, NM

We had a great weekend camping it old style with our good friends the Hollands. It was probably the last weekend for camping weather - it was snowing by the time everybody left! Thank goodness for quality sleeping bags and tent heaters! Saturday was a beautiful day, and the kids had a ball getting dirty while running all over camp. Thanks to the Holland's extensive camping gear, we ate like kings all weekend and enjoyed some creature comforts while enjoying the outdoors!

Chicago Visit and McCall's Pumpkin Patch

Frank went to Chicago this weekend to be part of his good friend Tom Bender's wedding. Jenna went along and had a great time visiting with her Nonna and Grandpa Klimas!

Zoe and Kelley stayed home and had fun running all over town, the highlight being a trip to McCall's pumpkin patch!

Elephant Butte, NM

We drove a couple hours south to Elephant Butte, NM for Columbus Day weekend. It was a gorgeous weekend with temps in the mid 70s and clear skies. We rented a ski boat and took the girls out for a few hours onto the lake - they loved it! It's definitely something we will do again next summer!
